Louis van Gaal has done something spectacular with Manchester United. The Dutch coach took a club that was crumbling down into pieces which didn’t have spirit, didn’t have motivation and struggles trying to clinch positive and turned the team into one which is absolutely capable of competing in the Champions League, they still might not be able to win it but compete against some of the top European clubs is certainly a feat that isn’t so hard to reach.
Manchester United snatched the 4th spot of the Premier League and will be competing in the Champions League of next season but the head chiefs of the English club have given Louis van Gaal a budget of around €180 million so that he can sign and reinforce his squad even further.
One of the players that is in the radar of Louis van Gaal is Gregory van der Wiel from PSG. The 27 year old Dutch player is an experienced right-back that can provide Manchester United with speed down the right-flank which is much needed.
Daniel Alves was another one of the targets of Louis van Gaal but since the Brazilian defender has already decided to remain with Barcelona, the coach of Manchester United has had to search around the transfer market for a different potential signing and has locked his eyes with Gregory van der Wiel.
It’s rumored that Manchester United or any other club which is interested in signing Gregory van der Wiel will be able to secure his services if that club launched an offer in the region of €9 million. The right-back position of Louis van Gaal is one that is in need of being reinforced and after the club was unable to sign Daniel Alves as well as Nathaniel Clyne, all signs are pointing towards Gregory van der Wiel as Louis van Gaal wants to turn his squad into one which is capable of not only competing and make a charge for the Premier League title but for the Champions League as well.
